Why are "Diets" So hard?

This posting is for all those people who are like me and struggle with staying on their new "Lifestyle" changes. Lets just say it folks... DIETS. Yes I agree that it does help a little saying Way of eating, way of life, lifestyle change. But in the end... a diet is a diet.

Until of course, you have been on said diet for so long that either you have adapted or lost all your weight and are now maintaining your current weight while still eating on said diet plan. Then, only then... would I change it to a lifestyle change. The way I see it, my DIET doesn't deserve to be called anything else.

This is what I think happened... which is no excuse. But, for now... it is! I am on a weight loss lowcarb message board and I was doing fantastic on my diet. Losing weight, inches and gaining motivation and inspiration. I had a weight loss buddy that I would check in with multiple times a day... she would write back. It was really fun! Yes... dieting was fun!

Until she wasn't coming. I thought.. maybe its the weather... maybe something else happened. But she never came back....yet. I hope she does. I hope she is alright and nothing bad happened!

Let me skip to my point.... I let someone else's actions control my own. I feel like an idiot... I know all the secrets to dieting, to losing weight. And a huge one that I -MUST- learn to follow is never depend on anyone else to bring me motivation and inspiration. This is my life... and I am in control of it.

That's how it's suppose to work right?
